Care Assistant The jobholder works as part of a team which provides personal care to the residents of the home. The team comprises of Senior Care Assistants and Care Assistants. There is also a Housekeeping Team and a Catering Team. We believe that residents should be looked after with the utmost dignity and respect and are proud of the high standards we achieve. The jobholder is responsible for: • Working with other staff to meet the personal care needs of residents in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence. • Helping in the care of the residents’ physical environment and in the general day to day activities of the home. • Taking delegated responsibilities in providing a high standard of care to the residents. About the Role: • Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Permanent • 21- 35 hours per week including evenings and weekends on a rota basis • Shift patterns are 7am to 2pm and 2pm to 9pmAlternate weekends off • Pension Scheme • DBS will be paid for by employer • Free Training Provided • Uniform Provided • A very competitive rate of pay is offered of £9.05 per hour Domestic Assistant We believe that residents should be looked after with the utmost dignity and respect and are proud of the high standards we achieve. The jobholder is responsible for: • To ensure the clean & hygienic maintenance of the Home • To clean all allocated rooms including furniture, fittings, fabric, carpets, flooring & equipment • To report any breakages of equipment or fittings that require maintenance or cannot be kept to standard through normal cleaning procedures • To deal with waste bags & their correct disposal • To be aware of Health & Safety, COSHH procedures & statements •In the time available between attending to care users, undertake light domestic duties primarily in the fields of laundry and cleaning as directed. • To be aware of each resident's right to privacy & dignity in respect to their personal possessions in their rooms • To perform other such reasonable duties as may be required • To attend staff training sessions & team meetings when required About the Role: • Part Time Permanent • 25 hours a week and alternate weekends on a rota basis Shift pattern 2pm -7pm • 30 hours a week and alternate weekends on a rota basis Shift pattern 8am -2pm • Pension Scheme • Uniform Provided • DBS paid for by Employer • Free Training Provided • A very competitive rate of pay is offered of £8.72 per hour Kitchen Assistant We believe that residents should be looked after with the utmost dignity and respect and are proud of the high standards we achieve. Applicants must have some experience of working in a Kitchen • To keep a high standard of hygiene & cleanliness in the kitchen & dining rooms • To carry out general duties such as setting up, cleaning tables, washing up, serving, clearing away • To adhere to the kitchen cleaning rota & record keeping • To ensure storage of cleaning materials follow COSHH guidelines • To carry out any other kitchen task that may be reasonably required of you • To attend any training sessions or meetings that you are requested to • To assist the Cook in meal preparation About the Role: • Part Time Permanent • 30 Hours per week • 5 days per week over 7 days including alternate weekends • Hours are worked on a rota between 8am & 5.30pm • Pension Scheme • Free Training provided • DBS paid for by Employer • Uniform Provided • A very competitive rate of pay is offered of £8.72 per hour Night Care Assistant To provide waking night duty cover in the home, maintaining the safety and comfort of elderly service users. We believe that residents should be looked after with the utmost dignity and respect and are proud of the high standards we achieve. The jobholder is responsible for: • Carry out regular checks around the home at intervals determined by the Manager and with due regard for clients’ privacy. • Carry out regular checks on the building with special reference to fire protection. • Answer emergency bells, assess the situation, deal with the client seeking help or call upon the “On Call” staff. • Assist care users who need help reassurance or comfort. • Assist care users preparing for bed and waking in the morning as directed • In the time available between attending to care users, undertake light domestic duties primarily in the fields of laundry and cleaning as directed. • Read and write reports in case notes • Take part in staff meetings and training activities as directed. • Assist with the giving of medication; to take full responsibility for this if appointed “person in charge” • Carry out other reasonable duties as may be required About the Role: • Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Permanent • Waking night duty between the hours of: 8pm to 8am • Pension Scheme • DBS paid for by Employer • Free Training Provided •Uniform Provided • A very competitive rate of pay is offered or Salary £9.20 per hour enhanced depending on experience
